This excellent Cabernet Franc wine is grown on clay soil in Bourgueil. This is a deep, complex wine with a strong aromatic palette. It shows the skill of the Bretons in prganic 'biodynamic' wine. 5-10 years aging potential, strongly suggested due to the strong tannins.

The wine is made from old vines on the hillside of Bourgueil that provide highly structured wines with great aging potential.. the most beautiful slopes of Bourgueil. The vines are 70 years old, south facing on siliceous clay soil.

Hand harvested in boxes of 10kg. Yield: 20hl/hectare. The wine is made in open wooden vats with daily punching down. The barrles are 50% new. Malolactic fermentation and aging in barrels. Aging in barrels of 550 litres. Bottled in 2008.

Taste: Supple and plump with the taste of red fruits. After a few years mushroom and wood taste develop. Packed tannins.
